Though
being costly (the price range being about $350.00 in my region),putting
classified advertisements in popular newspapers can easily generate plenty of
leads for a real estate business. Even then, these call for patience, after
putting the ads, for people to notice them and the phone calls to start coming.
For a few
years, I have witnessed several professionals in the real estate business
putting their ads for brief moments and removing them time and time again. This
however should not happen. After putting the ads, give them ample time and
trust me, the results will more than make up for all the cost involved. Another
reminder is that ensure you can easily be accessed by any potential callers
whenever they call ,to avoid losing them.
For the ad
content, you may come up with the best idea possible and after placing it in
the newspaper, do not mind about others who may try to duplicate it. Once this
is done, you may then consider incorporating the other techniques I share below
as you may see fit.
• Ads in
freebie papers.
You may
also advertise yourself in you area’s freebie papers depending on how they are
called in your region. For my business, they’ve proven very successful in
generating leads and their rates are also variable and affordable.
• Bandit
or road signs
Bandits
are some of the most reliable lead generating tools available. They’ve proven
to give me faster results right after stationing them in the places I intend to
purchase houses, particularly in the high traffic areas in town. For the best
material to use, the cost and the content to include, you may research from
credible sources such as the internet.
Flyers
(and similar materials) are another easily affordable means to market yourself
. You can make these and place them on bulletin boards in the area you wish to
market yourself. Other areas may include; inside telephone booths, county
courthouse and any other places allowed. While not as common as bandit signs,
these can also be effective to some degree.

Promotional and/or imprinted items
This is
another wonderful idea that is sure to market you and give you an edge over
other competitors with very little cost involved. On these promotional items,
you can put some content about your business and phone contacts. They have
proved to be very reliable for my business and they may include:

-key
chains
-pens
-coin
holders
-car
magnets
-business
logos on some clothing
-business
cards, and any others that you may come up with.
Other
advertising tools.
There are
many other marketing tools which have also worked for my business including
billboards, yellow pages, door hangers, radio and television advertising etc.
Whatever the strategy you choose, get the marketing going and let people know
